We believe… that God created humans to be in dominion over all the earth. He expects us to love and honor Him as any loving child would honor his or her Father. He teaches us through the scriptures how we can honor Him and live in harmony with others.
We admit… that human beings are self-centered and independent at heart. That independence and self-centeredness has separated us from God and makes it impossible for us to live at peace with one another.
We know… that Jesus Christ came to earth to show us that God still loves us. His willing death on the cross is evidence of God's love and provides the invitation for us to be reconciled to God.
We can… be reconciled. By accepting God’s offer of reconciliation, we are enabled by the Holy Spirit to become faithful followers of God, and can learn to live in harmony with one another. As we commit ourselves to the leadership of the Holy Spirit we become ever-increasingly more what God intended for us to be at the time of creation.
We intend… to show God’s love to those around us. It is our desire that all people of every culture feel welcome to become part of this body of Christ. We pray that God will help us reflect, here in Indianapolis, the body of Christ at its very finest.
We extend… to you, an open invitation to join us as we strive to experience God in His fullness and together exhibit the qualities God desires in the people the world calls Followers of Jesus Christ.
WE ARE...GUIDED BY THESE CORE VALUES:
Christ is the head of the Church and the center of all we do.
We are committed to Christ's global mission of making people whole.
We affirm our Wesleyan heritage and Free Methodist Church affiliation.
God's holiness demands personal and organizational excellence and integrity.
Small groups provide an excellent environment for creating community, establishing accountability, and nurturing spiritual growth.
Our love of God and people must be unconditional.
Our worship of God is celebratory and life-transforming. It encompasses the whole person and the whole of life.
As maturing Christians, our lives increasingly manifest the fruit of the Spirit.
WE ARE COMMITTED FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST
Jesus is the Living Word of God. Therefore, we are firmly committed to building this body upon the teachings and principles of the Word of God. His Word is the foundation of everything we do.
WE ARE COMMITTED PEOPLE OF PRAYER
Devoted to the leadership of the Holy Spirit, we recognize if we are to enjoy successful ministry, we must be led by God. We must be open to the continual direction of the Holy Spirit. In order to find this direction, we must constantly seek the leadership of the Spirit. In this day when many determine truth by the opinion of others, we must be saturated in prayer, in the Spirit, and in the Word of God so we will stay true to our burning desire to be the people of God.
WE ARE COMMITTED SERVANTS OF GOD IN THIS COMMUNITY
We believe God has called us to serve the people in the northwest area of Indianapolis. Our focus is not to draw believers from other Christian bodies of faith but rather to shine Christ's light in the darkness, expecting those who are lost will be drawn to Him.
WE ARE COMMITTED MISSIONARIES IN OUR BACKYARD & ACROSS THE WORLD
We desire to take the passion we have for foreign missions and apply it to mission work here at home. We desire to equip our people to touch the lives of those around them with the love of God. We desire to disciple all whom God places within our body to become servants of God and others.
WE ARE COMMITTED TO BEING A KINGDOM COMMUNITY
Reflecting the full breadth of its cultural richness, we are committed to seeing the church celebrate our diversity in culture, personality and worship. We will become students of cultures, respectful of differing perspectives, looking for ways to connect people to God.
