Dear Free Methodist pastors,
We are so excited to let you know that preparations for Free Methodist Youth Conference 2017 (June 26-30, 2017) are underway. This is the premier opportunity within our denomination to teach and call out students to life change with Jesus. At our last event, God’s Spirit moved in such a way that students from Free Methodist churches all over the nation found salvation in Christ and felt compelled to make a difference in their schools and communities. Even more, 115 of them responded to a call to serve the church in career ministry! That impact is still being felt in churches all across our country.
In June of 2017, we will again offer an incredible event for high school students (graduating eighth-graders through graduating seniors in 2017) at Colorado State University. It is our chance to infuse students with the beliefs that are the very core of what we represent as a denomination. Captured within our theme “RELENTLESS” is the opportunity for students to realize the pursuing love of God that has overcome all obstacles for the sake of redemption. This event will inspire our teens to become relentless in their journey with God and relentless in their desire to boldly seek out, serve and share with those around them who have yet to experience God’s grace.
FMYC 2017 will begin with registration on the afternoon of June 26 and end with a closing session the morning of June 30. The $475 cost (per person) includes meals (June 27 through the morning of June 30) and four nights of lodging. Lodging for extra days is available ($35 per person per night); your lodging dates must be confirmed by the time of final payment. Registration opens June 1, 2016, with a $75 deposit per person.
I humbly believe this is the best investment your church can make into your student ministry next year. Please join me in praying for this event, staying connected and asking questions on our social media pages (www.fb.com/fmyc2017 on Facebook; Instagram and Twitter accounts launching soon) and website (fmyc2017.com launching this spring), and spreading the word throughout your congregation. Together, we can make FMYC 2017 a historic moment and the spark of a movement that empowers our youth for generations to come.
